Aquatica 5D Mark ii
is proud to announce its latest addition, the housing
for the incredible Canon 5D Mark II, with 21 mega
pixels and HD video this camera/housing combination
will change the rules of underwater imaging. The
Aquatica housing is equipped with a hydrophone
to take full advantage of the Canon 5D Mk II potential.
Machined from solid aluminum, treated and anodized
to military specification, then painted with a
robust weather and wear resistant finish, this
addition to our already wide selection of housings
will benefit from the same 300 ft. depth rating
that set us apart from our competitors.
The 5D Mk II housing features
easy access to the now vital video function controls
while retaining its ease of operation for still
imaging, it has the same mounting bayonet that
will accept our existing accessories as well as
ports, including our tack sharp Megadome, Aqua
View finder and remote control cord, it is therefore
in a position to address every aspect of this demanding
activity that is underwater photography.
"My Aquatica 5D Mark II housing has not only shot my favorite video, it has more dives than most divers. It's travelled the world with me, has been passed to others as a demo unit, strapped onto underwater scooters, and has even survived rental abuse at Backscatter. It still looks and functions so well, we use it as a display model at trade shows. Its construction and black crinkle paint seem impervious to the bumps, scrapes, and corrosive abuse of daily use."

"My Aquatica 5D Mk II housing has stood up to some rough treatment on transit to dive sites - being bumped down into caves on ropes and covered with limestone dust. Throughout all of this, the camera inside has stayed safe, dry and functional. There's no point in spending the money on equipment if you're too afraid to take it with you - my confidence in the Aquatica housing means I've been able to take advantage of great photographic opportunities in some inhospitable places."

"I have taken my Aquatica housings to depth of 135m/440ft using mixed gas Close Circuit Rebreather and in water temperature as low as 2C/35.6F. Even when using three fingers dry suit mitts and carrying all this technical dive gear on you, all the controls are fully accessible and smooth working. Diving regularly in such harsh environment is the reason I elected using Aquatica."

"I consider Aquatica’s products the very definition of value. Neither the most nor least expensive available, their gear offers the underwater photographer the ergonomics and reliability he/she requires—at a price that is reasonable and fair. Their products are dependable enough for pros, but at prices within the reach of serious amateurs as well."
